SIRO-A – A Groundbreaking Visual Spectacular

On the 10th of January, 2017, The Concourse in Sydney will turn into an award-winning Japanese phenomena, SIRO-A, presenting their first ever theatrical performance in Australia. The shows which have already sold out in London and New York incorporate a unique combination of high-intensity music, puppetry, comedy, dance, mime and visual effects to produce a spectacular display. A total of 6 Japanese artists will perform against a backdrop of projection screen, which makes use of animation and latest video projection technology.

Creative Writers Mind Mapping Workshop

Over a period of 2 days starting 14th January, an award-winning screenwriter Suzan Battah will host the Creative Writers Mind Mapping Workshop at the Hazelhurst Regional Gallery and Arts Centre. Day 1 will basically cover mapping out the plot, setting and characters for screenplay. On the 2nd day, a complete breakdown of acts and chapters is carried out under Suzan’s event.  This is a great opportunity for writers of all abilities, who have always dreamt of writing their own novel or screenplay.

Tamworth Country Music Festival

The annual event of Tamworth Country Music Festival is a celebration of the nation’s musical culture and heritage with live performances and concerts at different venues.  Starting 20th of January, the festival lasts for a couple of weeks, and visitors from all corners of the country flock together to rejoice the festivity;  to what is known as the one of the top ten coolest music festivals in the world.

Nude Live 2016

Nudity is the new way of expressing bold art, and this seems to be in fashion these days as the Art Gallery of NSW and Museum of Contemporary Art gives you a chance to experience their collection in the most natural state. In collaboration with the Sydney Dance Company, the NSW Art Gallery will be displaying more than 100 live nude presentations of prints, photographs, sculptures and paintings by well-known artists including Dumas, Matisse, Freud and Picasso. Some of the most significant works of international art is interpreted through unique presentation.


The longest inflatable water slide in the world will be available this January, as you can have a slip sliding wonderful time in this 4-day event from 26th to 29th of January. A total of 4 slides will be there, the longest being 650 meters. Smaller slides are available for kids and the challenging ones for the thrill seekers. Friday and Sunday will be family fun days, while on Saturday; there will be a special Slide n Lights session. Food and beverage stalls will be there to cater your cravings and other entertainment to keep you entertained while you wait for your turn.

Panic! At the Disco

Hordern Pavilion will cause panic on the 27th of January for all the good reasons, as the award-winners Panic! At the Disco will take the stage to support their blockbuster hit studio album, Death of a Bachelor. Over the last decade since their first ever album release, the band has come a long way having sold out their biggest shows in London, and this time they’ll be bringing all that energy to Australia. The event is highly recommended for a music lover of any taste, and a self proclaimed foodie!
