Stick Creature will be a mix of stand-up comedy and music, with plethora of entertainment on offer. He has lived in a number of continents, which makes him apply different perspectives on life to his strange cultural humour. After Julia

From 12th to 15th of July, new music ensemble Decibel will be bringing their After Julia program to Metro Arts, presenting seven works commissioned by Decibel. As many as 7 female composers will be responding to Julia Gillard’s term as prime minister, and the manner in which her leadership exposed gender discrimination throughout the country. Presenting works by Cat Hope, Hillary Bell, Kate Moore, Michaela Davies, Kathie Miliken and Gail Priest, After Julia is a varietal approach to contemporary composition as well as subject matter.

Redlands Quilt Extravaganza

Showcasing activities from the Redlands Community and promoting and assisting the Sewing Groups, Embroidery, Patchwork and Quilting, the Redlands Quilt Extravaganza from 14th to 16th of July is an exceptional display of textile crafts. The exhibition will host displays from seasoned crafters as well as school students. Prizes and awards will be given for judged categories of crafts. Australian Festival of Chamber Music

This year’s exciting Australian Festival of Chamber Music, starting 28th July will be featuring world-class program of masterclasses, conversations, collaborations and concerts to be performed by best chamber musicians in the world in Townville’s gardens, theatres and churches. The line-up includes 42 artists, including 3 leading Australian ensembles Nexus Quartet, Orava Quartet and Goldner String Quartet, along with 13 from overseas.
