The Merchant Of Venice: Bell Shakespeare

Bawdy in its romantic hijinks and dark in its humour, this uncompromising production of the Merchant of Venice takes audience on a wonderful journey of justice, love and mercy. The 2-day show on the 7th and 8th of September at Lismore will feature the award-winning Mitchell Butel as the Shylock and Jessica Tovey as Portia. The direction will be given by Anne-Louise Sarks, as this master production tackles the preconceived and prejudiced concepts of one of the most challenging plays by Shakespeare.
